The New Jersey Charter Schools Association (NJCSA) is the non-profit membership association that represents the state’s charter school community and, by extension, charter school students and their parents. We are committed to advancing quality public education for New Jersey’s children through the cultivation of high-quality public charter schools. We believe that every child in the State of New Jersey should have the opportunity to attend a high-quality public school that best meets his or her needs.
Our work focuses on three areas: advocacy, school services, and research.
As the only organization representing New Jersey’s public charter schools, we work to ensure that their concerns–and the concerns of the families they serve–are heard and understood by policymakers and the general public. We also leverage our extensive experience in school operations–and the experience of our members–to provide cost-effective services to charter schools for boards, leadership, and instructional programs.
Our research focuses not just on charter schools–but on all New Jersey public schools. We examine and analyze much of the information that is made publicly available by the NJ Department of Education related to school demographics, performance, and funding. Our analyses of state education budgets are recognized by our partners, public officials, and our members as a valuable tool in understanding the impacts of state education budget policies.
