Call for Proposals

The New Jersey Charter Schools Association will be hosting a one-day conference on Thursday, October 11, 2018. We will be accepting conference session proposals from educators, school administrators, and professional development providers who can present high quality professional development to charter school teachers, administrators and trustees.

The deadline to submit a conference proposal is Friday, April 27, 2018, at 12:00 pm EDT.

All proposals must be submitted through the online proposal submission form. Any proposals submitted otherwise will be rejected without review.

We provide a session proposal template to help you draft your proposal before completing the online form.

Session Tracks

Since the conference is a one-day event, there will be a much smaller number of proposals accepted–we are reducing the number of breakout sessions from 82, in 2017, to about 25 for 2018. We are most interested in sessions addressing the following topics:
  • Highly Effective Instructional Practices (in all content areas)
  • Access and Equity in Educational Opportunities
  • Special Education
  • English Language Learners
  • Preparing Students for College & Careers
  • School Leadership
  • Use of Data
  • Advocacy / Law / Policy
  • School Governance
  • Operations

Presenter Badges

All approved session presenters must purchase a conference badge and will receive a $100-off coupon to apply to their conference registration fee.

New Session Lengths

To provide variety and flexibility to conference attendees, in 2018 we will be offering breakout sessions in varying lengths: 60-minute sessions or two-hour “extended sessions.” Please indicate the preferred length of your session in the online proposal form.
