Register for Conference Badges

We offer three categories of pricing for badges based on the attendee’s NJCSA Member Status. The registration process for School Members is unique; please read below. If you’re unsure of your current membership status, please contact us.

Badges can be purchased for one-day only or for both days. Payment must be made in full before the conference. Purchase orders must be sent to fax 609-689-0069 or conference@njcharters.org.

All conference badges include a free ticket to the Tuesday Evening Welcome Reception (4:00 – 4:45 pm) & the 20-Year Salute to NJ Charters presentation (5:00 – 6:30 pm). Dinner is on your own.

Wednesday-only badge holders are invited to show up on Tuesday at 4:00 pm to pick up their badge and then join everyone for the Welcome Reception & Salute presentation.

This waiver applies only to public school employees & trustees who are traveling more than 50 miles one way to the conference, who can show the value of the conference to their professional development, and whose overnight stay on Oct 17 is to be reimbursed by the school district. Please follow all regulations as referenced in the travel waiver letter.

Parking Information

Parking your vehicle in an urban center such as Newark is nearly always at a paid lot. Please make sure to carefully read through the below and give yourself enough time in the morning to find a lot, park, and walk to the hotel.

Parking at the Robert Treat Hotel
Parking at the Robert Treat Hotel is available for overnight guests only. If you are staying overnight at The Robert Treat Hotel, you may park in the lot located just outside the rear entrance of the hotel on Mulberry St.

Session Presenters & Those Presenting on Stage
We recommend that you plan on arriving 30 – 45 min ahead of your start time to allow for time to find a lot to park in, walk to the Robert Treat Hotel, pick up your badge in the hotel’s front hallway, and navigate to your session room.

Exhibitors
Exhibitors were emailed the exhibitor show kit, which contains parking information and a special parking pass to print and use for move-in and move-out. This pass must be shown to the attendant upon entering the Robert Treat Hotel lot (ask for the load-in doors) and kept on your dashboard. Exhibitors who do not have an overnight room at the hotel cannot keep their cars parked at the Robert Treat Hotel lot during show hours. Please build in enough time to unload & move your car to a paid lot.

Daytime Parking
Please consider taking NJTransit, Uber/Lyft, Taxi or walking from a remote parking lot, as parking is not available at the hotel except for overnight guests. For those that are driving in for the day, we highly recommend that you download a parking app and reserve a space through the app as parking spaces in Newark can be hard to find. The parking lot that is closest to the hotel is called Military Park garage. This lot fills up quickly so please do not assume you will be able to get a spot there. You will most likely have to park in another lot and walk to the hotel.
